MS Excel..

Relax and talk about anything that doesn't fit into any other category.

Hi guys.

Currently doing an ICT GCSE Course, and we've got to a bit where we use a spreadsheet using excel.

The criteria is that we use a spreadsheet to have merchandise on it and the prices change dependant on the "membership type" .. Ive done that part, what I wish to do is as follows.

Currently on the spreadsheet i have 5 Columns,
+ Merchandise
+ Price(per one)
+ 2-5
+ 6-10
+ 11+

And the prices change in the last four columns. What I wanna do is to use another nested IF statement or some other command, that I can just have two columns, one for Merchandise and one for Price.

My Current set up is that above the merchandise list i have a drop down menu (using data validation) and the prices change dependant on that selection. What needs doing is to have another drop list underneath that ( i know how to do that) but to condition the price cell so that it displays a price if condition 1 and condition 2 are there.

You can only have upto 8 or 9 nested IF statements and I would need more than that.

Does anyone have a website where I can read and learn about the commands (tutorials or lectures) in excel?

TIA

Phil

I have no idea myself, but Ask Mr Excel may be able to help, their message board seems quite active:

Couple days ago I heard about a tool. But in 2 days some my important xls files were deleted from my PC.Fortunately I found that tool-Microsoft Excel repair. It made up my mind very easy and generally absolutely free. Moreover I saw how it repairing Excel files, except the possibility to export recovered data into a new Microsoft Excel file.
